Book review policy

What books do I like to review?

I generally review books that fit in the genres of epic fantasy (I especially love grim dark characters, a lot of fighting sequences, and politics), fantasy, YA fantasy, romance (strictly no reverse harems or bdsm stuff), political thrillers, paranormal thrillers and romances, and a good mystery.

Sites I leave reviews on

Apart from this blog I also leave reviews on my bookstagram account, goodreads and amazon.  On request I can also leave a review on Kobo.

I only provide a very detailed review on my blog. On sites like amazon, goodreads, and kobo, I generally provide a short, and crisp review.

Book review requests

In case you are an author and your book falls in any of the above mentioned genres, then do contact me on the email provided on the contact me page.  In the mail you send me, please provide me with the following: -

1) A small description about the book and it's length

2) What genre it falls in

3) A sample of the book (in .epub format)

4) What sites you would like the book to be reviewed on.

5) Send me your social media account handles.

Once I receive this email, I will let you know if I will be reviewing the book and a rough estimate of when.

Follow me on my social media accounts, so that you know when my review for your book is published (if you contact me through email, I generally send you all the links to my reviews).

How I like to review the books?

Frank and honest opinons, is the way I take to review books. I like my review to be a balanced, i.e., I like to provide details of what I liked and what didn't work for me in the story, in my review. I am not very stingy in rating (or giving stars), but I also don't lie on my reviews.

I have a strict policy of no spoilers, because personally I hate reviews that give out spoilers of a story. I generally discuss various elements of the story. This can be characters, relationships, situations, etc.

With all said, I love to support all the authors out there through spreading a word about their book. That is the aim with which I started blogging.

Thank you!
